Let’s face it. Owning and growing a small business is hard work. It’s time consuming. It’s stressful. And can often be emotionally draining. The last thing you need on your plate is to have one of your employees knock on your door with a problem related to their Health Insurance. Talk about “no good deed going unpunished”! At that moment in time, it doesn’t matter that you’re providing something of great value and paying 50, 60 or 70 percent of the premium. The only thing that matters is that your employee is having a problem using it. There’s no amount of Excedrin that will make that headache go away.
Large employers can afford to have management level staff dedicated to addressing claim and billing issues. Small business owners can’t afford to hire staff whose only job is to deal with these issues. Your office staff (manager, bookkeeper and/or customer support) wear too many hats to drop everything and deal with claim and billing issues.
What small business owners need is a Business Advisor firm that does more than just propose and sell the products that make up your employee benefit plan. You need a Business Advisor firm who will always be there whenever you need them, to answer questions-big or small-and knows how to solve problems whenever they arise.
Paying attention to every detail-big or small-and putting service first are philosophies that Connecticut Business Advisors enthusiastically embraces. It all begins with taking the time to understand what you want to accomplish with your benefit program and answering all your questions during both your implementation and plan year.
It continues by sitting down with every covered employee during open enrollment to explain their benefits and answer all of their questions. We provide customized Employee Benefit Overviews, on-site reviews and access to us by phone and e-mail. We offload all of the issues from your staff and take care of your employees as if they were our own. We believe in preventing problems before they occur. And if something unexpected does happen, our carrier relationships allow us to get things back on track quickly.
In 2004, legendary business advisor, Ken Blanchard, wrote “Raving Fans”—outlining his revolutionary approach to customer service and satisfaction. We practice this approach every day and strive to make raving fans out of you and your employees.
